Position Description: Infrastructure Administrative Support Officer

About the Role:
- Provide administrative and clerical assistance to Councils Infrastructure Group including preparation of mandatory reports and returns required by legislation and Snowy Monaro Regional Council, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and any reports required under contractual obligations from grants and external contracts
- Assist Managers, Coordinators and Supervisors with administrative support on all Capital Works projects assigned to the Infrastructure Group, inclusive of all administrative work required when
processing Capital Works Tender Applications
- Assist the Road Safety Officer with processing of S138 applications
- Provide a high standard of customer service support to both internal (Council) and external (public)
customers through all communication mediums available at Snowy Monaro Regional Council
(telephone, email, verbal and letter)
- General office/secretarial duties as required
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- TAFE Office Administration Certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience with Windows environment and use of Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel
- Experience in telephony and use of the full range of office equipment
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to get on with others
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Ability to use initiative and be a self-starter
- Ability to prepare routine work output reports on standard forms
- Commitment to teamwork and ongoing work improvement philosophies
- An understanding of WHS; and
- Current NSW class C motor vehicle Licence
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications; Access, Power Point,
Experience with electronic Customer Service System and Maintenance Management System data input
- An understanding of civil works terminology; and
- Experience with Vehicle and Plant Fleet Management.
