About the Role:
- Deliver high‑quality workforce management services that enable timely, evidence‑based decision‑making, and support leaders to effectively implement Council workforce management policies, programs and practices to build a confident, capable and committed workforce
- Provide specialist guidance, support and expertise to the Human Resource Business Partner team to ensure the consistent, efficient, safe and effective delivery of workforce management services across the organisation
- Provide strategic advice and ongoing support on employee relations issues, dispute resolution and industrial advocacy including managing escalated or complex cases where required
- Conduct and/or manage complex workplace investigations and grievances ensuring legislative compliance, due process and fairness
- Support and promote an agile, solutions‑focused, accountable and collaborative workplace culture that enhances workforce engagement, empowerment and performance
- Support the integration of business excellence principles into organisational policies, processes and systems and guide the organisation in the execution of these
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline, with demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role; or 3 years demonstrated solid technical proficiency in a wide range of specialised human resources functions, supported by ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated expertise and experience facilitating the delivery of HR business partnering services focused on enabling positive organisational and people outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain constructive, productive relationships with key stakeholders, including influencing and negotiating outcomes that contribute to the achievement of organisational goals
- Proven ability to interpret and apply employment related legislation, regulation, industrial instruments and workforce management policies
- Proven interpersonal, communication and, research and information analysis, to facilitate understanding and/or decision-making
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and provide high levels of support in an unpredictable environment
- Proven experience in coaching leaders to strengthen performance, decision making and people leadership
- Demonstrated research, information analysis and interpretation skills, coupled with the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes and reports
- Class C Driver Licence
